Calling all cowboys and cowgirls! It’s time to get groovy with Texas jazz music.
Although the Lone Star state is popular for producing classic country tunes, the state embraces a wide selection of musical genres – jazzy blues being one of them. From San Antonio to Dallas, and everywhere in between, Texas is no stranger to the standard Motown sounds of the south.
Next time you’re feeling down to get funky, make your way to one of these popular jazz music joints that can only be found in Texas.
This underground hotspot, located in the basement of Fort Worth’s historic Woolworth building, combines the swagger and mystery of the original New York jazz clubs. The dark, sexy atmosphere provides an escape from a busy day, as you enjoy a drink and listen to some of the finest jazz musicians that Texas has to offer. Headlining acts perform every Tuesday and Sunday at 8:30 p.m. and Wednesday through Saturday at 9 p.m.
